DESCRIPTION: ATTEND VIA STREAMING  \n(link available on the day) \nThe “Encontros Espresso” (Espresso Get-Togethers) are a format of talks held at IIM with the aim of getting to know each other better\, getting to know better the activity that takes place in our center and exploring the world of marine science\, encouraging scientific-technical discussion and strengthening links between groups where both research and technical staff can participate to share their work\, experiences and results. \nThese are events designed specifically for our staff\, but everyone is welcome to join in via streaming. \nThis new format will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the IIM-CSIC Meeting Hall and will include complimentary coffee (“Espresso”) to encourage a smooth flow of communication. \nOn this occasion\, the seminar will be given by Robert Perryman\, postdoctoral researcher from the Integrated Marine Ecology Group (INMARE). \nRay Reunions and Social Skates:  Diving into the social lives of elasmobranchs- from Papua to Spain via Australia\nRob will be talking about his PhD research on ‘Social organisation\, social behaviour and collective movements in reef manta rays’ and his adventures collecting data in Raja Ampat\, West Papua\, an incredible area for marine biodiversity. He used a range of methods (including photo identification\, acoustic telemetry\, drone observations and social network analysis) to study manta ray behaviour. He was part of conservation projects to manage manta ray-human interactions in the region. Now in Vigo\, he will also talk about his new role in the BELAS project (Villegas-Rios) where he is studying the behaviour of skates (Raja undulata) at the spatial-social interface.  \nRobert Perryman\nRob is a postdoctoral researcher at IIM. His main research interests are in finding the links between spatial and social behaviour in elasmobranchs\, protecting the oceans\, and finding new methods to study the behaviour of marine megafauna. Rob has over 10 years experience in studying sharks and rays\, including 5 years in Raja Ampat\, Indonesia\, in collaboration with Marine Megafauna Foundation. He completed his PhD at Macquarie University in Sydney in 2021.

DESCRIPTION:FOLLOW IT VIA STREAMING  \n(link available on the day of the broadcast) \nThe “Encontros Espresso” are a series of talks held at IIM-CSIC with the aim of helping us get to know each other better\, learn more about the activity carried out at our centre and explore the world of marine science\, encouraging scientific and technical discussion and strengthening links between groups. \nThese events are designed especially for our staff\, but everyone is invited to join through our streaming broadcast. \nThis new format will begin at 10:00 in the IIM-CSIC Assembly Hall\, and will include complimentary coffee (“Espresso”) to help communication flow smoothly. \nOn this occasion\, the seminar will be delivered by Sofía Consuegra\, ATRAE Distinguished Researcher in the Aquatic Biotechnology Group (ACUABIOTEC). \nSex\, epigenetics and videotapes: analysis of the adaptive role of epigenetic variability using inbred fish as a model\nEpigenetic variation represents a potential mechanism for generating adaptive responses in the presence of low genetic diversity\, and may be an alternative source of adaptive plastic phenotypes that can explain the persistence of highly inbred populations in variable environments. \nThe extent to which epigenetic modifications act independently of genomic variation is key to understanding their potential role in evolution\, and inbred organisms provide a unique opportunity to separate genetic and epigenetic variation. Fish of the genus Kryptolebias are ideal for these studies. Kryptolebias marmoratus and K. hermaphroditus are the only two known self-fertilising vertebrates and are naturally inbred. By analysing their genetic and epigenetic variation\, behaviour\, microbiome composition and response to parasite loads in the laboratory and in their natural environment\, evidence was found that DNA methylation patterns depend on the dynamic interaction between genotype and environment. \nHowever\, epigenetic parental effects related to environmental conditions were also identified. If maintained across generations\, they may represent an evolutionary strategy for species with low genetic diversity facing rapid environmental change.   \nSofía Consuegra\n Her work focuses mainly on conservation genetics\, molecular ecology and resource management (fisheries and aquaculture)\, primarily but not exclusively in aquatic organisms. \nShe graduated in Biology from the University of Oviedo and worked for six years as Scientific Adviser to the Government of Cantabria before completing a PhD in Conservation Genetics at the University of Cantabria. \nShe carried out postdoctoral work at the Institute of Zoology in London and at the University of St Andrews before becoming a lecturer at Aberystwyth University until 2013 and then Professor of Evolutionary Ecology at Swansea University. She is currently an ATRAE distinguished researcher at IIM.

SUMMARY:G-NIGHT 2024 | Research in the Ría
DESCRIPTION:FULL G-NIGHT PROGRAMME IN VIGO \nThe CSIC Institute of Marine Research in Vigo joins G-NIGHT: Galician Researchers’ Night 2024 as a collaborating organisation\, with a free boat trip around the Vigo ría on the evening of next Friday. \nThe activity will take place aboard the Nautilus\, a boat run by the local company Ocean Secrets\, and will last approximately 1.5 hours. Audiences of all ages will be able to discover the marine diversity of the seabed of our ría thanks to the underwater robot carried by the boat\, which will show the seabeds of our rías from a unique perspective. \nIn addition\, several researchers from the Institute of Marine Research (IIM-CSIC) will be present to talk about their research in the unique setting of the Vigo ría. SUMMARY:IEV FORUM 2024: Vigo. Land and Sea.
DESCRIPTION:Within the 2024 FORUM lecture series of the Instituto de Estudios Vigueses\, presented on 15 February\, a highlighted talk will take place tomorrow by our colleague María Saura Álvarez\, researcher at the Aquatic Biotechnology Laboratory of IIM-CSIC. \nThe talk will address the role of modern aquaculture in the conservation of marine ecosystems and in the production of sustainable food for a growing world population. It will explain how genetic selection is producing species that are more resistant to disease and better adapted to the challenges of climate change\, positioning aquaculture as a key tool for environmental and food sustainability. \nThis is a unique opportunity to learn first-hand about scientific advances in aquaculture and the importance of marine research for the future of our planet. \nDo not miss this appointment with science and innovation in Vigo! \nMaría Saura Álvarez\nMaría Saura completed her doctoral thesis at the University of Vigo on Atlantic salmon conservation. She carried out her first postdoctoral work at ECIMAT\, analysing the mechanisms responsible for parallel evolution in gastropods. In 2012\, she received a Juan de la Cierva fellowship to join INIA-CSIC\, where she collaborated on several projects based on -omics tools in aquaculture and livestock\, including the European projects FISHBOOST and MedAID and the international 1000 Bull Genomes consortium. She completed postdoctoral stays at the Scottish Agricultural College (Edinburgh)\, The Roslin Institute (Edinburgh) and the Sven Lovén Centre for Marine Science (Sweden). She has participated in 17 research projects and served as principal investigator in two State R&D Plan projects and one CSIC project\, focused on optimising conservation and selection programmes in sheep and Atlantic salmon using -omics methodologies. She collaborates with the SCOURGE coalition (COVID-19 Fund) as head of a subproject on COVID resistance using genomic tools. She has taught at the University of Vigo and as associate professor at the Complutense University of Madrid. She has taught in the Master’s in Zoology (UCM)\, Genomic Methods in Breeding and Management of Aquatic Living Resources (Technical University of Denmark) and Applied Blue Biotechnology (Catholic University of Valencia). She participated in the organisation of the CSIC Training Plan 2022 and 2023 (Genomics applied to animal production\, metagenomic analysis and de novo assembly). She was deputy director of the Department of Genetic Improvement at INIA-CSIC (2020-23). She is a member of the Scientific Committee of ISAG (International Society for Animal Genetics) in the Aquaculture section (2019-present).

SUMMARY:IIM Encounters 2024 | 5th edition
DESCRIPTION:Here you can see all the works presented \nWhat are the Encounters?\nThe Encounters are an annual informal meeting\, and this will be the fifth edition. At this meeting\, all staff at the centre\, including research and technical staff\, trainees\, temporary staff and permanent staff\, can share what they do with the aim of getting to know each other better and gaining a clearer idea of IIM’s activity. This meeting encourages scientific and technical discussion and strengthens links between groups. \nThis year there will be 30 presentations. DESCRIPTION:FOLLOW IT VIA STREAMING  \n(link available on the day of the broadcast) \nThe “Encontros Espresso” are a series of talks held at IIM-CSIC with the aim of helping us get to know each other better\, learn more about the activity carried out at our centre and explore the world of marine science\, encouraging scientific and technical discussion and strengthening links between groups. \nThese events are designed especially for our staff\, but everyone is invited to join through our streaming broadcast. \nThis new format will begin at 10:00 in the IIM-CSIC Assembly Hall\, and will include complimentary coffee (“Espresso”) to help communication flow smoothly. \nThis time we will meet our colleague Isabel Fuentes\, PhD in Statistics and Operations Research from the Organic Biogeochemistry Laboratory (IIM-CSIC). \nThe role of statistics in marine research\nThe Institute of Marine Research (IIM-CSIC) is a multidisciplinary centre where topics ranging from the physical and chemical characteristics of the ocean to the food it provides are studied\, with special attention to the impact of human activity on the oceans in the current context of climate change. \nFrom a statistical point of view\, working in a centre such as IIM means dealing with different types of data\, both in size and in “shape”. On the one hand\, we work with large high-resolution databases (Big Data) and small experimental datasets. On the other\, we deal with numerical and categorical variables\, circular data\, functional data\, compositional data\, spatio-temporal data\, point processes and more. The role of statistics in this complex ecosystem is to develop analysis and inference tools adapted to each type of data. This talk will present recent advances in statistical inference for complex data that can help extract as much information as possible from data that\, in most cases\, are very difficult to obtain and are fundamental for continuing to advance in different areas of marine research. \nIsabel Fuentes Santos\nShe holds a PhD in Statistics and Operations Research from the University of Santiago de Compostela since February 2016. Her main research line is non-parametric inference in the framework of spatial point processes\, in collaboration with the Modestya group at USC within projects of the State Research Agency. \nShe has been part of the Institute of Marine Research since 2010 as a member of the ESMABA groups and the Organic Biogeochemistry Laboratory. Her main functions are statistical analysis of oceanographic and mussel-aquaculture data\, development of statistical models\, application of new inference techniques to marine research and statistical support for colleagues in the group. She has participated in European projects focused on the impact of climate change on aquaculture (ClimeFISH) and on the assessment and promotion of ecosystem services from low-trophic aquaculture\, such as mussel aquaculture in Galicia (Aquavitae). She is currently part of PT5 of the Marine Sciences Programme of Galicia.

SUMMARY:Lightsheet microscopy: the fine art of slicing a sample without disturbing it
DESCRIPTION:Event on the Zeiss website \nRegister to attend online \nOn 12th June\, Wednesday\, at 10 am we will receive representatives of the ZEISS company at the Institute of Marine Research\, who will come to present the possibilities of the new fluorescence microscopy equipment at IIM-CSIC\, the Lighsheet LS7\, managed by our in-house Optical Microscopy and Image Analysis service. The equipment was acquired thanks to the support of the Spanish State Research Agency (AEI). \nThe presentation will be streamed online\, prior registration on the Zeiss website\, and in person in the IIM-CSIC Conference Hall (R/ Eduardo Cabello\, 6 – VIgo (Pontevedra). The session will be developed in Spanish. \n\nThe Lightsheet LS7\nThe Light Sheet Fluorescence Microscopy (LSFM) equipment is available for use by the entire scientific and technical community\, CSIC staff or not. \nThis type of microscopy is ideal for fast and smooth imaging of living organisms\, whole tissues and model cells as they develop over extended periods of time. In addition\, it allows obtaining complete images of large specimens\, optically clean and with subcellular resolution. Dedicated optics\, sample chambers and mounts allow adaptation to the refractive index of the chosen compensation method. \nImage analysis has become the bottleneck of many laboratories since innovative imaging technology enables generating of amazing 2D/3D/4D content at incredible speeds\, that generates large datasets. ZEISS arivis Pro is a modular image analysis software to work with multi-channel 2D\, 3D\, and 4D images of virtually unlimited size. With ZEISS arivis Pro it is easy to create automated end-to-end image analysis pipelines\, to use predefined pipelines for common use cases or to create your own pipelines using its click-and-play interface. \n\nSpeakers\nThe event will involve both staff from the ZEISS company and staff from our Optical Microscopy and Image Analysis Service: \n\nJacques Paysan (ZEISS) and Verona Villar (Carl Zeiss Iberia)\nLucía Sánchez Ruiloba (IIM-CSIC)

SUMMARY:ASEQURA | “Listeria monocytogenes”: a challenge for food safety
DESCRIPTION:Access the broadcast \nEVENT PROGRAMME \nOn 4 June 2024\, a technical conference entitled “Listeria monocytogenes: a challenge for food safety” will be held. This event is part of the ASEQURA research project\, whose objective is to carry out a quantitative microbiological risk assessment (QMRA) of Listeria monocytogenes in fishery products and meat derivatives\, with special attention to biofilm formation and cross-contamination in processing chains. The project is funded by the 2019 call of the State R&D&I Programme Oriented to Societal Challenges of the State Research Agency (AEI). \nThe conference will take place in person in the Ernest Lluch Assembly Hall of the Ministry of Health / Ministry of Social Rights\, Consumer Affairs and Agenda 2030 in Madrid. Registration is already closed and in-person places are full\, but it can also be followed via streaming on YouTube. \nThe project is coordinated by Elena Carrasco Jiménez and Antonio Valero Díaz from the  University of Córdoba (UCO)\, with the collaboration of Marta López Cabo and Juan José Rodríguez Herrera from the MicroTec group at the Institute of Marine Research – CSIC. \nThe event is aimed at different interested stakeholders\, including health inspectors from the autonomous communities\, sector companies\, academics and other professionals related to food safety. It seeks to present the main results of the ASEQURA project and foster dialogue and constructive discussion to advance the control of Listeria monocytogenes in the food value chain. \nIn addition\, the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) participates as co-organiser of the event\, thanks to the collaboration of the Risk Assessment Area\, the Secretariat of the Scientific Committee and the National Food Centre (CNA). \nGO TO THE PROJECT PAGE

Both research and technical staff can participate to share their work\, experiences and results. \nThese events are designed especially for our staff\, but everyone is invited to join through our streaming broadcast. \nThis new format will be held every two weeks\, at 10:00 in the IIM-CSIC Assembly Hall and will include complimentary coffee (“Espresso”) to help communication flow smoothly. \nWe open our first Encontros Espresso of 2024 with a visit from Emilio Rolán\, Professor of Genetics at the University of Vigo. \nAcceptance and knowledge of the theory of evolution among students and teachers in Ecuador\nThe theory of evolution is one of the most influential theories in the body of knowledge that describes our civilisation\, and yet it is one of the most disputed theories in many countries by different social groups. \nThe causes that explain the difficulty of accepting this theory are multifactorial and have been discussed for years. They include: \n1. Limited knowledge of how science works\, \n2. Limited knowledge of how evolutionary theory works\, \n3. Strong anti-evolutionary attitudes in some religions. \nA group of Spanish and Ecuadorian teachers developed a voluntary online survey\, which was distributed to hundreds of students and teachers in Ecuador to describe the degree of acceptance and knowledge of this theory. \nThe results show moderate acceptance and low knowledge of evolutionary theory. Students show a slight increase in acceptance compared with teachers\, and teachers also show lower acceptance in the region of Ecuador where more anti-evolutionary beliefs are present. \nEmilio Rolán Álvarez\nHe has been Professor of Genetics at the University of Vigo since 2010. His research has focused on adaptation\, sexual selection and speciation in microevolutionary processes using marine snails of the genus Littorina as model organisms\, through experimental\, genetic and simulation studies. He has also published several reviews in related fields\, such as sympatric speciation in L. saxatilis\, evolutionary studies in Littorina\, colour evolution in gastropods and the use of proteomics as an evolutionary tool. \nHe has worked on the development of new statistical tools for measuring sexual selection and sexual isolation\, and for reviewing the probabilities of statistical tests under multiple testing. \nMore recently\, he has turned his interest towards the impact of evolutionary theory on education\, reflected in his work published in PLOS ONE (https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0238345). SUMMARY:Marine Sciences Programme | PT5 follow-up meeting
DESCRIPTION:IIM-CSIC programme page \nTomorrow\, 9 May\, the follow-up meeting for work package PT5 of the Marine Sciences Programme of Galicia (PCCMMG) will take place online. The coordination team is made up of Eva Balsa-Canto (IIM-CSIC) and Moncho Gómez Gesteira (UVigo). \nMultiscale and transdisciplinary marine simulator (PT5)\nThis proposal aims to advance the development of a multiscale and transdisciplinary simulator applicable to the marine environment and aquaculture. The simulator will be an essential tool for integrating data from different sources and generating the knowledge\, framework and evidence needed to address environmental\, social and economic challenges: exploring and predicting the consequences of global change in the marine environment and supporting decision-making for the management of uses and resources. \nThe proposed simulator will integrate artificial intelligence techniques and environmental\, oceanographic\, ecological and economic models at multiple scales. It will enable scenario analysis and ultimately support decision-making that promotes the sustainability of the marine environment and of associated socioeconomic sectors\, fisheries and aquaculture\, for future generations. \n\nProgramming the simulator requires the integration of multiple high-quality datasets and the development of ad hoc numerical\, theoretical and computational methods. For this reason\, we propose a phased approach\, in three actions or proof-of-concept exercises\, which provides a realistic pathway and lays the foundations for the future multiscale and transdisciplinary marine simulator. \nAction 1 focuses on developing a simulator for extreme events and their effects. AI techniques will be used to establish predictive models to detect meteorological and hydrodynamic patterns and estimate the evolution of the atmosphere-ocean system at high resolution. The effects of extreme environmental weather events on marine ecosystems will also be modelled. By coupling different numerical simulation models with AI techniques\, the capacity to reproduce coastal hydrodynamics will be improved\, making it possible to forecast low-salinity events with a major impact on marine crops or flooding in inhabited areas. The mobilisation of pollutants into the marine environment\, including those from fires\, urban areas and emerging contaminants\, will also be simulated. The Ría de Arousa will be considered as an applied case. \nAction 2 focuses on developing an end-to-end fisheries model. Existing biophysical models in Galicia will be complemented with higher trophic-level models and socioeconomic modules to develop end-to-end models applicable to Galician fisheries. The model will focus on three species of particular ecological\, economic and cultural importance for Galicia: sardine\, hake and octopus. The resulting models will improve knowledge of Galicia’s marine ecosystem and its interactions with fisheries\, and will allow scenario simulations to assess the impacts of climate-scale changes\, including impacts on commercial species abundance and socioeconomic effects. \nAction 3 focuses on developing two digital twins for integrated multitrophic aquaculture. This action will formulate simulators for two types of multitrophic culture: off-shore systems and IMTA-RAS\, a recirculating aquaculture system. Macroalgae will be present in both types of culture. Physiological models for the species of interest will be defined and integrated\, first into a long-line model that considers hydrodynamic and environmental conditions\, and second into a RAS system. A digital mussel raft will integrate mussel physiological models with oceanographic models. The long-line and raft simulators will be integrated into an off-shore IMTA digital twin to predict the effects of changes in environmental variables on crop quality and productivity in the Ría de Ares\, and to simulate scenarios for crop optimisation. The IMTA-RAS digital twin will address fish-macroalgae-probiotic interactions and enable the rational design of precision IMTA-RAS cultures. \nThe models and software developments from each proof of concept will be made publicly available as far as possible in accordance with FAIR data-management guidelines. \n\nMarine Sciences Programme of Galicia\nIIM-CSIC coordinates\, together with CETMAR and the University of Vigo\, the new Marine Sciences Programme of Galicia\, whose main challenge is the protection and sustainable management of marine ecosystem services and which involves more than 89 Galician research groups. \nThis new strategy will act through three major lines: observation and monitoring of the marine and coastal environment; sustainable\, smart and precision aquaculture; and innovation\, knowledge and opportunities to adapt to change in the marine economy. \n \nThe Marine Sciences Programme of Galicia is one of seven Marine Sciences programmes in the Complementary R&D&I Plans with the Autonomous Communities\, part of Component 17\, Investment 1 of the EU Recovery\, Transformation and Resilience Plan. SUMMARY:Madagascar biodiversity and opportunities for marine research
DESCRIPTION:Next Thursday\, 25th April\, IIM-CSIC will host the seminar: “Madagascar biodiversity and opportunities for marine research” by Dr Fanomezana Ratsoavina from the Université d’Antananarivo\, in Madagascar. \nThe part of its joint visit to our country\, both Dr Ratsoavina and her colleague\, Dr Zafimaheri Rakotomalala\, will share the reality of Malagasy research and the opportunities that the island gathers for new research and innovation ventures\, both terrestrial and marine. \n\nMadagascar biodiversity and opportunities for marine research\nMadagascar is in the top 10 of biodiversity hotspots worldwide. Despite the intensive research on the terrestrial realm\, we know little about this biodiversity. Research on the marine environment is scarce in comparison. I will provide an overview of the rich biodiversity found in Madagascar the well the various challenges and dangers that threaten its sustainability. Furthermore\, I will cover several subjects that attract the attention of both national and international researchers. I will also talk about potential new frontiers and promising prospects in the realm of marine sciences and research to broaden the scope of exploration and investigation in this unithat island. \nDr Fanomezana Ratsoavina\nDr Fanomezana Ratsoavina is ‘Maitre of Conferences’ and the Direct for the Mention of Zoologie et Biodiversité Animale (Mention of Zoology and Animal Biodiversity) at the University of Antananarivo. The coordination team will include Jose Manuel Fernández Babarro\, EsMaBa (IIM-CSIC)\, and Antonio Villalba García\, CIMA-Corón (CIMA) (PTE). \nDeveloping tools to improve sustainable shellfish production (PT7)\nShellfishing and bivalve-mollusc aquaculture in Galicia are interdependent\, and the sustainability and improvement of bivalve production require coordinated actions in both areas. Aquaculture and shellfishing rely on sedentary benthic resources with complex life cycles and spatial structures\, which makes these key sectors of Galicia’s marine economy highly variable and still difficult to predict. This is especially true of spatial and temporal variability in recruitment\, which determines seed availability for grow-out in shellfish beds and farming facilities\, and for restocking natural beds. The overall aim of this work package is to provide procedures and tools to guarantee a sustainable supply of seed and strengthen bivalve aquaculture within the sustainable exploitation of Galicia’s natural resources\, addressing both recruitment in the natural environment (Action 1) and hatchery production (Action 2). Work will focus on three priority species: mussel Mytilus galloprovincialis\, grooved carpet shell Ruditapes decussatus and pullet carpet shell Venerupis corrugata. The results will serve as a reference for future protocols applicable to other species. \n\nAction 1. The objective is to create site-specific tools to effectively manage the natural supply of bivalve seed. Current stock monitoring networks will be assessed and improved where necessary\, and new methodologies will be developed to evaluate key demographic parameters such as larval abundance and reproductive capacity. Emerging techniques such as natural trace-element marking and numerical modelling will be used to create connectivity matrices and identify key source-sink populations under different climate scenarios. This information will feed into a metapopulation model to predict larval dispersal and population dynamics\, and will be integrated into an open Geographic Information System for decision-making in resource management. \nAction 2. The objective is to optimise hatchery seed-production protocols for grooved carpet shell and pullet carpet shell\, ensuring the supply of high-quality seed for grow-out and strengthening the resilience of exploited shellfish beds. Planned tasks include reliable broodstock conditioning protocols\, spawning induction and cryopreservation of gametes and larvae; optimisation of larval and post-larval culture systems\, diets and survival procedures; and detailed study of microbiota and associated pathogens through metagenomics and metatranscriptomics. SUMMARY:Sea and Past: Accessible Heritage
DESCRIPTION:The Institute of Marine Research (IIM-CSIC) will begin tomorrow “Sea and Past”\, a series of interactive workshops specifically designed for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias across Galicia\, as part of the “Accessible Heritage” initiative. \nThere will be four workshops\, with small audiences and content adapted to the target public\, focusing on the biodiversity and ecology of bivalve molluscs and traditional technologies for their exploitation\, such as shellfishing and mussel rafts. Participants will connect with memories from the past and receive sensory stimulation\, reinforced through traditional sea songs that will guide the sessions. \nThe workshops were developed in close collaboration with AFAMO\, the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer’s Patients of O Morrazo\, and Fundación Legar\, dedicated to recovering and disseminating Galicia’s musical cultural heritage. \nThe main objective is to establish a link between participants and their memories through sensory\, emotional and cognitive activities. Tactile materials and traditional sea songs will be used to create an experience combining scientific knowledge with emotional connection. \nIn addition to improving understanding of marine biodiversity and Galician cultural traditions\, the workshops seek to provide an inclusive and supportive environment for older people and those facing cognitive diseases. \nWorking closely with specialised associations and paying individual attention to participants’ needs\, we aim to create an environment of care\, respect and affection in each workshop. \nThis project is a joint initiative of the CSIC Scientific Culture Unit in Galicia (Institutional Delegation)\, the Institute of Heritage Sciences (INCIPIT\, Santiago de Compostela) through its Valorisation Unit\, and the Institute of Marine Research (IIM\, Vigo) through its Scientific Culture Unit. \nThe workshops will take place on 14 May in Cee\, 20 May in Moaña\, 10 June in Burela and 12 June in Ribeira. \nProject data\nThis project is funded by FECYT – Ministry of Science\, Innovation and Universities.
