DESCRIPTION:THE Institute of Marine Research-CSIC holds the year more the “Day International of the Woman and the Girl in the Science” #11F2024 cun programme of activities deseñado for destacar the papel of the women in the marine research and creando así referentes femininos for the infancia that poidan contribuír to the elección destas áreas the carreiras profesionais. \nTHE programme of IIM desenvolverase the partir of February and está composto by the publicación of videos and talks in escolas\, destacando the papel of the scientific and technicians the #MulleresDeCiencia. \n\nSaber of the Sea | Tempada 3\n \nTHE Institute of Marine Research (IIM-CSIC) estrea the 3ª tempada of the series “Saber of the Sea”\, the first video emitirase coincidindo with the own day 11 of feberiro in the canle of Youtube of IIM-CSIC and the protagonista será the our compañeira Camino Gestal\, xefa of the group of Patobioloxía Molecular Marine\, that in the falará of the influencia of the alimentación in the crecemento and saúde of the polbos mediante technicians ómicas.  \nSaímos to the rúa for preguntarlle to the people that coñece of the that facemos in IIM-CSIC\, that lle gustaría learn about of the our activity scientific and\, in definitiva\, that lle gustaría saber of the sea. These preguntas\, that gravamos in video and están sendo contestadas of the mesma forma by the scientific and scientific of the centre. \nTHE resultado final é the series of audiovisuais that seguimos completando with this 3ª tempada of #SaberDoMar! \nActivity organised with the apoio of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology 2018. \nThis nova tempada dará place the nova series of 5 audiovisuais protagonizados by the local residents and the staff of our centre. \nVisualiza the tempada 1 and 2 \n\nTalks in centres educativos\nIn the Institute of Marine Research (IIM-CSIC)\, comprometémonos the promote the science and the marine research. During the nexts weeks\, varias traballadoras of the centre visitarán escolas for share the its work the scientific and technicians. \nThis esforzo seeks inspirar to the futuras xeracións and promote the participation of the women in the science and in the technology. THE nosThe aim main é bring the marine science to the students\, destacando the papel crucial of the women neste campo and motivándoos the considerar carreiras in science and technology. In addition\, buscamos promote the igualdade of xénero in the ámbito scientific-tecnolóxico and highlight the work of the scientific.

SUMMARY:School Visits to IIM | Colexio Lar
DESCRIPTION:It was a pleasure to welcome the Higher-Level Training Cycle in Pathological Anatomy and Cytodiagnosis from Colexio Lar to our facilities at the Institute of Marine Research (IIM-CSIC). Below is the guided visit programme we prepared for them: \n10:00 – Reception and Welcome: \nWe began the day with a reception and welcome in the IIM-CSIC Assembly Hall\, where staff from the UCC+I introduced our institution and the work carried out here. \nVisits to Laboratories and Aquarium: \nDuring the visit\, they had the opportunity to explore some of our leading laboratories and our aquarium\, guided by experts in each area: \n\nImmunology and Genomics Group ( Beatriz Novoa).\nNational Reference Laboratory for Bivalve Mollusc Diseases (Raquel Aranguren and Begoña Villaverde).\nMarine Molecular Pathobiology Group (Camino Gestal\, Sonia Dios\, Marimar and Sara Polo)\nAquarium of the centre.\n\nThis activity was organised by the centre’s UCC+I and carried out within the framework of the “OceanNight” projects. \n14:00 – Farewell: \nWe hope they enjoyed the visit and found it educational and inspiring. Thank you very much for coming to the Institute of Marine Research (IIM-CSIC)!
