DESCRIPTION:After the welcome and presentation of the work carried out at the IIM-CSIC by the centre’s Engagement with the Public Unit\, the students had the opportunity to visit our Aquarium Service. \nOn this occasion\, the Immunology and Genomics group\, represented by Raquel Aranguren and Alejandro Romero\, showcased the work of their research team. \nThey also spent time with the SEMAIM: Optical Microscopy and Image Analysis service\, where our colleague Laura Gómez Montoto demonstrated various technologies\, including the LightSheet microscope. \nThank you very much for visiting!

DESCRIPTION:Laura Guerrero Peña\, PhD from the Aquatic Biotechnology Laboratory at IIM-CSIC\, will defend her thesis in person at the IIM auditorium. \nThe thesis\, titled «One genome for two body plans: Genome-wide functional genomic and transcriptomic approaches to understand the genetic bases of fish metamorphosis»\, was co-supervised by Paula Suárez-Bregua and Josep Rotllant Moragas from the Institute of Marine Research (IIM-CSIC).
