Short bio

I am a marine scientist specializing in seagrass ecology, climate change, and invasive species dynamics. My research focuses on understanding the ecological and physiological responses of seagrass ecosystems to environmental stressors, using spatial and ecological models, novel diagnostic tools based on fatty acids, and carbon cycle analysis, including both dissolved organic matter and organic carbon stored in sediments. I have held postdoctoral research positions at the Natinonal University of Galway (NUG) in Ireland, the Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT) in Bremen, Germany, the Dead Sea & Arava Science Center (ADSSC) in Israel, and the Institute of Marine Research (IIM) at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in Vigo, Spain.
