Short bio

I hold an Integrated Master Degree in Biological Engineering from the University of Minho - with specialization on Environmental Technologies - and I received my PhD in Food Science and Technology from the University of Vigo. My PhD was focused on the experimental design of marine biomass valorization processes, kinetic modeling based on artificial neural networks and optimization and integration methods based on environmental impact indicators. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowships, and my main research area is the sustainability assessment, applying environmental management tools such as the LCA, EF and RA, in the field of biotechnology.
