PTAs 2022 | R&D&I Technical Support Staff Contracts
The Institute of Marine Research (IIM-CSIC ) shares 1 offer to apply for contracts with us for the Research Technical Support Staff, within the Aid for Technical Support Staff Contracts (PTA) 2022 of the Spanish State Research Agency (AEI).
These are three-year contracts for people with a University Degree (Bachelors' or Masters') or a College Certificate in Higher Education (Spanish 'Ciclo Formativo', former-FP), to support the management of equipment, facilities and other R&D&I infrastructures to increase and improve the performace of scientific-technical institutions like ours.

The Life History Service (LHS) of IIM-CSIC gathers the equipment to analyse vital history parameters in marine organisms. It is organized along seven areas: (1) Histology, (2) Reproductive parameters, (3) Sclerochronology, (4) Image analysis, (5) Multi-focused image generation, (6) Acoustic telemetry and (7) Molecular ecology.
The LHS service seeks to strengthen its area of Molecular Ecology with the incorporation of a highly qualified research technician to perform genomic analysis.
The work will involve the use of classical laboratory genomic techniques (isolation of DNA and RNA, electrophoresis, PCR, cloning, etc) and HTS techniques (RADseq, RNAseq, whole genome sequencing, metagenomics, epigenetics).
Requirements
- Degree, BSc, MSc or a technician degree from the professional training educationsal system in disciplines related to Molecular Biology, including CFGS in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory or Pathological Anatomy.
To be valued
- We are looking for a technician with proven expertise in molecular biology techniques, especially in preparation of HTS libraries, with excellent teamwork and organizational skills
