Currently the majority of procedures standardized with the that determine the bachelor’s degree of animal welfare basan in the observation of the behavior, the state of health and the compliance of the criteria of welfare established previously. Si bien these protocolos/procedures are useful for evaluate the welfare, their implementation the the practice can presentar difficulties that already have sido revealed in different studies scientific.
Uno of the main obstacles is the subjectivity that implica the evaluation solo to the basarse in the observation of the animals. A possible alternative for evaluate the animal welfare of forma more precise and objective is the use of quantitative biomarkers. These biomarcadores are molecules that can measure in fluids biological, and cuya concentration varies cuando the animal suffers a state of stress the discomfort.
The main advantage of the biomarcadores is that allow eliminate the subjectivity of the evaluator, already that can determine mediante tests analytical precise and estandarizadas. Of this way, the quantitative biomarkers presentan as a herramienta muy valiosa for evaluate the animal welfare of way more rigorous and precise, lo that podría improve the quality of life of the animals and guarantee a production more sustainable. Uno of these possible biomarcadores in invertebrates are the microARNs circulantes (C-miARNs).
The objective of this project of training is the characterization of the perfiles of expresión of the micro ARN circulatntes (C-miARNs) in individuals salvajes and in domesticados of common octopus mediante technicians of sequencing high-throughput (C-miARNoma) and the evaluation of the potential of the C-miARNs anteriormente caracterizados as quantitative biomarkers for the evaluation of the state of health and welfare of this especie.

The elevada densidade poboacional in the zonas costeiras of Galicia provoca vertidos of augas residuais that affect adversamente to the quality of the augas of the rías and, with iso, at conditions sanitarias of the bivalves that aí cultivan. Are these organizations filtradores, that bioacumulan the axentes presentes not environment, the that can chegar the desembocar in problems of seguridade food, but this condición permitiu also their uso as sentinelas of the contaminación of the environment.
This estratexia for the monitoring of the environment conleva, with all, the limitacións asociadas at mostraxes puntuais polas that, by exemplo, not detectou correlación of the effect that the contaminación by verteduras provoca in the zonas of produción. In change, a monitoring in continuo (or of high frecuencia) of the carga microbiana contaminante not environment marine permitiría predicir eventos of contaminación and daría marxe the establecer restricións in the recolección, evitando comprometer the seguridade food.
Is by isto that, currently, atópase in marcha a line of work multidisciplinar in the that propón a proba of concepto dirixida the vincular the contaminación fecal not environment marine and in bivalvo with the objective of buscar that coñecendo the contaminación in these organizations podamos inferir the contaminación fecal not environment.
The presente offers of training encádrase in this line. Así, the persoa contratada participaría in the characterization of the dinámicas of bioaccumulation and eliminación of Escherichia coli in mussels in escenarios experimental that simulen vertidos of augas residuais urbanas in the rías galegas. For iso realizaránse ensaios experimental on a instalación the escala piloto in the zona of acuarios of the IIM, us that dosificarán different concentracións environmental desa bacteria. The parámetros environmental monitorizaránse of modo continuo and, periodicamente, analizaránse microbiolóxicamente both the animais as the water in the that atopan. And isto acompañarase by a exame of the response fisiolóxica and metabólica of the mussels. The selected person formarase in compañía dun graduado that find realizando in these momentos their doctoral thesis not topic and, with these activities, preténdese that faga a first aproximación to the analysis microbiolóxica ambiental and of alimentos, by a banda, and to the study of the fisioloxía of bivalves, by outro, in addition of that adquira knowledge not design of experimentos and us pormenores and funcionamento of instalacións experimental the escala piloto.

Aproximadamente the metade of toda the produción primaria of the globo bear lugar not ocean, onde the phytoplankton or conxunto of algae microscópicas that flotan libremente in the superficie of the sea, are the main responsables of the fixación fotosintética of carbon. The produción of osíxeno and materia orgánica fotosintetizada vén condicionada pola structure and composición of the community fitoplanctónica.
Así, coñécese that the phytoplankton of pequeno tamaño domina in zonas oligotróficas of the ocean, onde the fixación of carbon atópase limitada pola dispoñibilidade of nutrientes and the materia orgánica fotosintetizada destínase to the mantemento of the microbial plankton community. In these augas, the community microbiana tende cara to the balance metabólico between produción and respiración, debido to the baixa produción primaria and the relativa greater importancia of the respiración bacteriana. Pola contra, in zonas costeiras, the elevada dispoñibilidade of nutrientes allows altos niveis of produción primaria, atribuíbles to the phytoplankton of greater tamaño. These zonas adoitan presentar a balance metabólico netamente autotrófico and with exceso of materia orgánica, potencialmente transferible the niveis tróficos superiores. With all, this dicotomía falla the escalas more pequenas, dada the elevada variability ambiental moi especialmente in zonas of afloramento coastal.
The episodios of afloramento and relaxación típicos introducen a large variability in the contribution of nutrientes, determinando that the microbial plankton community fluctúe between the own of mares oligotróficos and the of mares eutróficos, pasando by different situacións possible between these dúas extremas. Not afloramento of the Noroeste of the Península Ibérica varios studies mostran the existencia dunha large variedade of comunidades planctónicas microbianas asociadas the different conditions environmental. With all, case todos these studies are dirixidos the caracterizar the variability temporal.
In this study propónse determine the variability espacial, mediante observacións with dúas boias of deriva; a lanzada preto of the costa, onde the contribution of nutrientes is elevada and outra seguindo the water oceánica with poucos nutrientes. In ambos the ambientes caracterizarase the structure, composición and metabolism of the comunidades planctónicas microbianas.
