Description

From fixing pipe leaks to carrying out mechanical repairs on laboratory equipment, our in-house Maintenance Service ensures that any technical problem affecting our staff is solved quickly and professionally.

The service is responsible for carrying out small repairs and ensuring the proper operation of the centre's facilities, managing and preventing any potential breakdown that could interfere with the Institute's proper functioning.

Objectives and tasks

The main tasks carried out by the Maintenance Service include the following:

  • Management of the electrical installation: UPS systems, installation of new connections and maintenance of existing ones, heating
  • Management of water supply and plumbing
  • Installation and maintenance of telephone and computer networks (cabling)
  • Maintenance of the distilled water supply system (filters, resins, heads, Millipore equipment, pipes, etc.)
  • Maintenance of air-conditioning equipment
  • Mechanical maintenance of laboratory and aquarium instruments
  • Maintenance of cold-storage facilities (compressors, fans, radiators, expansion valves, thermostats, etc.)
  • Maintenance of office and laboratory furniture (locks, carpentry, etc.)
  • Vehicle fleet (periodic inspections, repairs, vehicle roadworthiness inspections)
  • Waste management (batteries, toner, ink cartridges, fluorescent tubes, damaged material, etc.)
