Citizen science at the Lourido beach micro-reserve
The Citizen Science workshops in the Lourido Dunes will take place every Saturday in July and August from 11:00 to 13:00, for all ages. They will be run by the Hydrosphere team (a spin-off of the University of Vigo), the University of Vigo itself (with the participation of the Marine Research Centre and the Marine Geosciences and Territorial Planning group), and the Spanish National Research Council through two Scientific Culture Units (CSIC in Galicia and the Institute of Marine Research).
The workshops focus on the beach micro-reserve created in the Lourido dunes, in the municipality of Nigrán, and aim to bring citizens closer to the natural values of this coastal environment through observation, participation and scientific outreach activities.
