What are the Encounters?

The Encounters are an annual informal meeting, and this will be the fifth edition. At this meeting, all staff at the centre, including research and technical staff, trainees, temporary staff and permanent staff, can share what they do with the aim of getting to know each other better and gaining a clearer idea of IIM’s activity. This meeting encourages scientific and technical discussion and strengthens links between groups.

This year there will be 30 presentations. The idea is for all staff to feel involved and explain what their daily work consists of through a poster that they can present during the day in an estimated time of no more than five minutes.

The internal event will be in person for the IIM community.

Scientific-Technical Committee

As every year, we have a Scientific-Technical Committee, which we hope will make all institute staff feel involved and properly represented, and which will also help to energise these 2024 Encounters in their fifth edition.

One of the Committee’s objectives is to promote equitable participation in the Encounters, support and advise on their organisation and act as moderators on the day of the meeting.
