It was a pleasure to welcome the Higher-Level Training Cycle in Pathological Anatomy and Cytodiagnosis from Colexio Lar to our facilities at the Institute of Marine Research (IIM-CSIC). Below is the guided visit programme we prepared for them:

10:00 – Reception and Welcome:

We began the day with a reception and welcome in the IIM-CSIC Assembly Hall, where staff from the UCC+I introduced our institution and the work carried out here.

Visits to Laboratories and Aquarium:

During the visit, they had the opportunity to explore some of our leading laboratories and our aquarium, guided by experts in each area:

• Immunology and Genomics Group ( Beatriz Novoa).
• National Reference Laboratory for Bivalve Mollusc Diseases (Raquel Aranguren and Begoña Villaverde).
• Marine Molecular Pathobiology Group (Camino Gestal, Sonia Dios, Marimar and Sara Polo)
• Aquarium of the centre.

This activity was organised by the centre’s UCC+I and carried out within the framework of the “OceanNight” projects.
