Library
Organizing scientific knowledge to make it easily accesible by everyone is a complex matter that requires well-trained and highly knowledgeable professionals.
The Institute of Marine Research's Library Service is the team in charge of these tasks. The service works as a public access library with a wide range of publications, both printed and in digital format, which can be easily accessed thanks to its Digital Catalogue.

You can also access CSIC's Open Repository (Digital.CSIC), a source of open-access publications for all external visitors.

The Institute's Collection comprises several titles with a focus on IIM's research interests, such as Oceanography, Fisheries, Aquaculture, Marine Ecology or Marine Product Chemistry and Technology, as well as photographs and publications that serve as an archive of the IIM's scientific and historical past.
In addition to their work as curators of the collection, the Library staff guarantees users the access to information and the necessary documentation to carry out studies, teaching, research and knowledge acquisition in different scientific disciplines related to the marine research field.
They also support researchers and technicians in updating their publications and scientific profiles on different databases, both internal (ConCiencia, Digital.CSIC, etc.) and external (WOS, Scopus, etc.), and facilitate access to programs that foster open access to information, following the Open Access Mandate and with the support of CSIC's Open Access Publishing Support Programme.
If you are part of the IIM-CSIC's staff, check the complete service portfolio in IIM's Intranet.
