Biografía

In January 2023 I joined the IIM with a Juan de la Cierva Formación postdoc contract (FJC2021-047881-I, funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by the European Union "NextGenerationEU"/PRTR), with the objective to apply high-throughput genomic tools to solve some of the current challenges in fisheries management. Previously, after the defense of my doctoral thesis, I worked for the University of Vigo in the conservation of sea urchins using transcriptomic and proteomic tools (among others). On December 3, 2021 I finished my doctoral studies at the University of Oviedo. Throughout this doctoral thesis, genetic markers were developed and applied in species with great commercial and cultural value in Asturias, as well as educational and citizen science tools, with the intention of generate data to support the design of sustainable fisheries management plans.
